This afternoon, my storytelling and my art connected via the event below. I did a small painting that Lily Tomlin purchased. I suggested to Lily that we use the painting to raise the consciousness about the struggle for a living wage. Lily and Jane Fonda are involved with an organization called #OneFairWage, an organization dedicated to raising the slave wages tipped workers receive. The event was free but if you want a copy of the painting, it was a $125 donation. All the proceeds support out of work servers. Participants included Mark Ruffalo, Amy Poehler, Chelsea Handler, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and others!

Don't take away from post that I have some unique ability to write and paint. What I've learned from connecting to my inner storyteller is we all have share the ability to do far more than we ever imagined. That's what I hope to teach people during my six weeks classes.
